New Board Members

The Ouse and Humber Drainage Board is delighted to welcome two new Board Members.

Mr Richard Wilkins has been appointed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Richard is a Chartered Engineer with a long career specialising in the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.

Mr Ben Maclean, a landowner in the Yokefleet area has kindly accepted an invitation by the Board to be co-opted after Mr Robert Patchett who was former Chairman of the Board stepped down . As a local landowner Ben has worked closely with the Board for a number of years helping with the successful delivery of the recently opened Howdenshire Flood Alleviation Scheme.

Commenting on the news, Councillor Kay West, Chairman of the Board said

“First and foremost I would like to thank Mr Robert Patchett for many years service to this and our predecessor Board, it is important to recognise that all of our members give their time to benefit our local community. I am delighted to welcome both Richard and Ben to the Board and look forward to working with them”
